West Windsor, NJ 08540 - 10/2/21 Serious Motor Vehicle Accident, and Hit & Run on US 1 at Carnegie Center Boulevard

The West Windsor Police Department made a press release today regarding a serious hit and run motor vehicle accident on October 2, 2021 at 9:29 am. At that time, the West Windsor Police Department responded to the scene of US Route 1 North at Carnegie Center Boulevard for the report of a serious motor vehicle crash. Individuals involved suffered numerous and serious injuries.


The details released explained that a white box truck traveling down US Route 1 North, in West Windsor Township, struck three (3) vehicles that were stopped at a red light. Following the collision, the driver of the white box truck fled the scene on foot, leaving behind an 18 year old front seat passenger.


The 18 year old suffered a severe injury to his right arm. He was transported to Capital Health--Helene Fuld campus and hen flown to UPenn medical center for emergency surgery in an attempt to save his arm.


The driver of one of the vehicles struck suffered injuries to his head, neck, back and rib area. A passenger in that same vehicle, sustained multiple fractures to his left arm requiring surgery and a dislocated left shoulder.


The West Windsor Police Department has requested anyone with helpful information into the collision or whereabouts about the suspect to contact the non-emergency line.
